Basically, is that a big "No." Or is there a special way it needs to be approached to avoid anything becoming awkward, or creepy? Thanks. Answered by Jeannie - Thu Aug 14 04:22:56 2008 What is proper etiquette when hosting a dinner party with seated service and multiple courses? Q. What is proper etiquette when hosting a dinner party with seated service and multiple courses? For example: How do you proceed if a few of the guests are slow eaters? Is it appropriate to make the rest of the dinner guests wait or to clear each course after a specific amount of time and serve the next? Asked by Captain Commando - Sun Mar 22 11:24:29 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Unless the wait becomes really tiresome (and that becomes clear by the fidgeting of the guests who are waiting for the next course) then each course is served to all guests at the same time. If the conversation at the table is lively, most people will not notice that there are laggers; but should the wait become difficult, simply announce the next course and have it served. The laggers will wither relinquish their plates, or ask that they be left. In that case, honor the guest's request. You'll sometimes find, particularly at a multiple course meal, that some will not eat all they are served. It is not necessarily a signal that the food is unsatisfactory, but may be a sign that portions are very generous. Q. I am going to be babysitting and I was wondering if there were some tips about what I should do.. Like I know to leave the house cleaner then it was when I came, but is there any other etiquette I should know about? Asked by avegirl94062 - Sat Apr 4 18:32:37 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. Basic ediquite: 1)Show up a few minutes before you are supposed to be there(I usually am 5 minutes early), however, don't show up more than 10 minutes early. 2)Call if you are going to be late, and if you have to cancel, than do so as early as possible so they can find someone else. 3)Clean up anything the children play with, or any dishes they use. You don't have to clean the house, but be sure you put the toys and things the children used away. 4)Follow parents rules. If the kids are not allowed to play on the computer, or watch tv, etc do not break those rules. Most parents do not have rules so strict, but if they do set a rule about certain things(and they are specifically telling you), then do not allow the children to do it. 5)F [cont.] Answered by Prodigy556 - Sun Apr 5 03:11:19 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "etiquette" From Wikiquote under the GNU Free Documentation License.
